Throughout my life, I’ve typically performed best under pressure. So, it seemed natural for me to wait until the last minute to study for a test or finish a project.

Although my reactive ways have worked fine for me, I’ve learned that this habit doesn’t work well for my team. My delayed response on any given project dramatically impacts others on my team.

This can stimulate a domino effect that slows down the team and throws off the timeline significantly!

Ultimately this causes chaos and unnecessary stress for all involved and is not very respectful.

1 Peter 2:17 says, “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”

Taking a proactive approach to projects, shows your team respect and is less stressful for everyone.
