Personally, I tend to be an information junkie. If I’m in my car, I typically listen to some form of talk radio.
The downside of this approach, however, is the lack of enough quiet time for reflection. Although I have a lot of morning prayer and Bible study, it doesn’t always feel like enough.
Recently, the Lord challenged me to ground my mind in the mornings with even more quiet time. I have chosen to turn off the radio in the morning on my drive to the office, which has resulted in more peace.
Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
In the busyness of our work lives and the prevalence of social media, being still is a necessity to hear clearly from God.
