Although the Supreme Court recently ruled against affirmative action related to universities, their decision will likely impact the diversity, equity and inclusion practices of businesses soon.  

For instance, the Harvard Business Review believes that to “reserve hiring or promotion slots for underrepresented groups, instructing managers to use race or sex as a tiebreaker…, or tying demographic targets to manager compensation, increases vulnerability to judicial rebuke.” 

However, mentoring programs, eliminating bias in interviewing processes, and employee resource groups, are all appropriate ways to support a more diverse workplace. 

Galatians 3:28 teaches, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” 

The best DEI practice is the unity that comes from the love of God.
