Life is multidimensional, but we often limit ourselves to our one-dimensional perspective. This became evident to me after my father’s passing on May 31st.
As my siblings, and my aunt, shared about dad, I began hearing their different perspectives on many stories about my father. For example, I knew that my dad changed dramatically when I was 17, but I didn’t know the story behind his conversion, or that he had been baptized when I was 16.
Proverbs 15:14 says, “The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.”
When we seek understanding, this often leads us to ask others how they experienced the same situation. When we do, we can gain better understanding which can lead us to better decisions.
