Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

Stanford University researchers discovered that young people may be proficient in using social media, but they’re poor at discerning real news from so called “fake news.” Stanford’s researchers discovered that students often assume that sponsored content posted by biased parties is true, sometimes even more than real news.

In one assessment, more than 80 percent of middle schoolers believed a native ad, identified with the words sponsored content, was a real news story. These student’s lack of discernment is reason for concern.

Proverbs 15:14 teaches, “The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.”

In the workplace, a lack of discernment can be very costly. Don’t assume your younger workers have the gift of discernment. Encourage them to seek knowledge and the wisdom of God.
