Halloween is a strange holiday that seems to have a tension between good and evil. Some historians believe it began with Christian roots tied to All Saints Day.
Others speak of Halloween’s pagan roots. Today, however, it seems that there is very little sign of Christianity in this holiday.
In the workplace, Halloween can spark conversations. I wouldn’t rob the joy of those who enjoy celebrating this holiday but view these conversations as opportunities. Sharing God’s love and eternal hope may be better received during this holiday than at other times.
2 Timothy 2:25 says, “Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth.”
Today, look for opportunities in your workplace to share the hope of Jesus.
