While teaching on “entrepreneurship” in a prison years ago I met Ken who was incarcerated for armed robbery. Recently, I learned Ken has been out of prison for two years and has a good job!
While in prison Ken became a Christian and began turning his life around. His hard work since his release has resulted in increased work responsibilities and better pay.
Few people successfully leave prison and not return, but those who do usually adhere to the wisdom in Ephesians 4:28, “He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.”
The Gospel of Jesus Christ and hard work can bring a changed and fulfilling life.
