Kathy and I were having dinner with some friends when it seemed that nothing went right with Kathy’s meal. Multiple mistakes were made by the chef.
The manager did her research and then listened to Kathy’s story. She then said candidly, “We blew it tonight and we are so sorry. Your meal is on us and a special dessert is on its way!”
Numbers 5:6 teaches, “Any man or woman who wrongs another in any way and so is unfaithful to the Lord is guilty and must confess the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution for the wrong they have done.”
The fact that this manager owned the mistake relieved Kathy’s frustration. If you want to retain customers, remember to own your mistakes and add something extra.
