Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

This week we’re discussing Carmen Gallo’s three recommendations for developing a pitch for your organization as discussed in the Harvard Business Review. Gallo’s second tip is, “Identify one idea you want your audience to remember.”

Gallo recommends that you focus on a need of your customer and focus your one idea around that need. For instance, when Apple launched their first iPod, they promoted the concept of “1000 songs in your pocket.”

In Luke 9:24 Jesus taught, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.”

Jesus knew the Jews needed to be saved from eternal damnation. His paradoxical statement was memorable.

For a successful pitch, identify your customer’s need and clearly communicate how you are meeting that need.
