Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Many men and women had been together during Jesus’ ministry. For some reason, Jesus decided he wanted twelve men to lay the foundations of the New Covenant. Not forty-two. Not ten, or even eleven or thirteen.
Does this mean those who weren’t chosen had a lesser role in the kingdom?
No, it only means this is what God did.
Just because I’m the CEO, does that mean I am smarter or better than the people who work for me?
No. Jesus said in John 15:16, “You did not choose me, I chose you and appointed you so that you might bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
God decides which imperfect people get placed where.
