Mike discovered that a trusted employee had stolen money from him. Heartbroken, Mike intended to fire her, but when confronted, the employee broke down crying with sorrow.
She told Mike that her husband had become addicted to drugs and had bullied her to steal to support his habit. Mike took an unconventional business approach.
Mike met with her husband. By the end of the evening the husband prayed to receive Christ, agreed to rehab, and Mike, prayerfully, gave his valued employee a “do-over.” She became a very loyal employee.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:14, “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
Repentance is the key, but sometimes God calls us to give others a “do over,” as He graciously does for us.
