According to a Gevura Fund survey, 20% of American workers have been treated poorly or harassed over the past year for their religion. The Equal Employment Opportunity Center, however, is counting on changing that statistic.

EEOC Acting Chair Andrea Lucas has a personal interest in this subject, because her father was fired once for speaking honestly at work about his faith. Lucas intends to defend religious freedom as a signature issue for her term.

Colossians 3:17 teaches, “Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Our Christian faith says that all we do, including our work, is to be done in the name of Jesus. Anything less than employers respecting our faith will lead to conflict and violate the law.
