Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
In his book, “Unoffendable,” author Brant Hansen argues that holding onto anger – even what we call “righteous anger” – is not what we are called to as Christians. Hansen says that when we fully embrace the gift of redemption we have received through the sacrifice of Jesus, we can set our anger aside.
Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:31, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
When we feel ourselves getting angry, judging others harshly, or complaining when things go wrong, remembering the new life we have been given can help reduce the sense of offense and make for a more peaceful workplace.
