A friend recently asked me what the biggest obstacle was in growing our ministry over the last twenty-two years. It took a moment, but my response was, “Me, I’ve been the biggest obstacle!” 

When you first start a business, you must manage your own time and talent. Eventually, you have other people to manage as well.  

As the organization grows, you’ll find yourself leading leaders.  

Growing as a leader usually comes with pain and suffering as you learn from your mistakes.  

Hebrews 12:1 teaches, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” 

If you are your organization’s biggest obstacle, lean on God and persevere until the harvest comes.
