Worldwide, 41 percent of workers feel “a lot” of stress during their workday, according to Gallup’s 2024 State of the Global Workplace.1 Twenty-one percent said they experienced “a lot” of anger, 22 percent said they felt “a lot” of sadness, and 20 percent – one in five – said they felt “a lot” of loneliness. 

There’s no doubt work has the potential to be emotionally draining and challenging. But shifting our focus may help.  

Colossians 3:23 says: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” 

When we see our work as serving our Creator and the ones He created, we can be encouraged and energized by the work we do every day.
