Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
As many desk jobs have been moved to home offices, overworking has become a greater challenge for many people. A recent blog from Teamwork suggests that the “work from home-ers” interviewed have “spent most of their day on work and haven’t properly managed to switch off and unwind.”
The close proximity of the office, now being in-home, requires a higher-level intentionality toward taking needed breaks and toward working only during scheduled work time.
For those who struggle with overworking, Psalm 73:26 says, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Time in the Word of God is a safeguard for schedules and brings rest for the weary. The Bible will offer rest and peace for an overworked mind and body.
