Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
When you hear the word prophet, what do you think? Is it this strange person who tells the future, and it’s all doom and gloom?
Historically, prophets were advisors and teachers intended to serve the king by providing truth, honest feedback, advice and instruction. Truth is both positive and negative, celebratory and critical.
Can you think of three to five people in your life that speak truth to you?
Proverbs 19:20 says, “Listen to advice and accept instruction, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.”
Having a few trusted truth tellers in your life can help with leadership and personal performance. Prophets allow you to make better decisions, see blind spots and grow in your faith, knowledge and business.
Who are your prophets?
Today’s Integrity Moment was adapted from the book, Sharpen: A Guidebook for Business Ownership and Adventures in Leadership by Dan Cooper and Drew Hiss.
