Recently, Kathy and I met a young leader via Zoom. His family business had furloughed hundreds of employees due to Covid.
When asked how we might pray for him, he blurted out that he has really been struggling emotionally. This pandemic season has been long and hard for many.
The Apostle Paul spoke of how he addressed those dark moments in his life in 2 Corinthians 4. Paul pointed out that God’s light shines in our hearts helping us to overcome obstacles.
In verse 8, Paul wrote, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
The light of Christ can give us hope in times of struggle. Be encouraged. God has not abandoned us.
