In my early 20’s, I often looked for short cuts to get rich. One day an acquaintance of mine shared with me a so called “business opportunity.”
If I invested some money, I was going to get rich quick. This person’s enthusiasm and personal testimony of how much money he was making lured me in to foolishly investing.
It didn’t take long to learn that I had invested in a Ponzi scheme. The person running this scheme went to prison and my money was gone. My foolish decision taught me a valuable lesson.
Proverbs 27:12 teaches, “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.”
If a business opportunity sounds too good to be true, it likely is. Research investments thoroughly and avoid danger.
