Universal Basic Income has become a growing topic, due to the fear of jobs being eliminated because of artificial intelligence and robotics. The concept of UBI is to provide everyone a government check each month for a minimum standard of living.
A McKinsey Global Institute study, however, discovered that automation will increase employment overall! In my opinion, UBI will disincentivize work and make Americans more dependent upon the government.
Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 3:22, “So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?”
The government will eventually disappoint you, but God won’t. God will sustain you, usually through a job He wants you to enjoy.
