Kathy and I recently moved to a new home. Due to a basement remodel, the chaos of moving was made even worse.
My anxiety rose as I desperately wanted to unbox things and put everything in its proper place. From the looks of my desk, it may be hard to tell that I appreciate order, but my need for order really surfaces when I’m living in chaos.
When order replaces chaos, we are more efficient and effective and less stressed.
1 Corinthians 14:40 says, “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.”
God is a god of order and I believe He designed us with the same desire. Extreme chaos has a way of revealing that truth.
I think I’ll start my day by cleaning my desk.
