During a rerun of the TV show New Amsterdam, the medical director, Max, realized that there were people working for him who were in obsolete jobs. Many of them had skills useful for other roles, but they had been hiding out hoping to retain their paycheck.
Max matched their skills to new jobs.
Many people have spent their careers in jobs that are no longer useful, while many jobs go unfilled because of a lack of people with newer skillsets.
Exodus 35:35 says, “He has filled them with skill to perform every work of an engraver, of a designer, and of an embroiderer…”
God provides us with unique skills often applicable to multiple types of jobs. As you struggle to fill jobs, don’t overlook those who may have God-given transferable skills.
