As a college graduate, one adjustment I had to make was from being a student who managed my own time to suddenly being accountable to an employer. My new role required more discipline and sensitivity to my boss’ expectations.
Soon, I learned that working for a business required that I produce at a high-level of satisfaction and timeliness. If I didn’t, it was costly to my employer and ultimately jeopardized my job. Sometimes I was a disappointment!
Colossians 2:2 teaches, “Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.”
If you’re working for someone else, God desires you to obey your boss and serve them with a sincere heart.
