Worry is not something I typically struggle with, but at the time of a “Faith at Work Summit,” I was facing concerns that led me towards some occasional bouts of anxiety. One of the Summit speakers was Pastor Mark Davis.
Because of my concerns, I heard Pastor Davis’s point on worry more clearly that day. His claim was that, “Worry is a form of meditation.” His solution was simple, instead of meditating on worry, meditate on God.
Joshua 1:8 teaches, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
If you’re having a bout with worry today. Divert your meditation towards God and His word.
