Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

In 1978, four men broke into a home in Kansas City and killed three people. For over 40 years, Kevin Strickland has been incarcerated in a Missouri prison for those three murders, which he didn’t commit.

Two men admitted their guilt, but both were adamant that Strickland was not with them. The only evidence that convicted Strickland was Cynthia Douglas, an eyewitness who had been high, drunk and also had been shot.

In 2009, Douglas formally recanted on her testimony. It took an additional twelve years, but Strickland will finally receive justice.

Deuteronomy 19:15 teaches, “One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed.”

In business, we sometimes convict employees of wrong based only on one witness. Justice requires caution and diligence.
