Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
In this series we’re examining some instructive attributes of an amazing man who impressed Jesus. In Luke 7, we read of a Roman Centurion imploring Jesus to miraculously heal this Centurion’s servant.
The second attribute about this Centurion that stands out to me is his strategic wisdom. This centurion could have pleaded his case personally, or perhaps, tried to use his power to intimidate Jesus.
But, as a Gentile, this Centurion suspected he would not have much sway over Jesus. Instead, we read in Luke 7:3, “When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders asking Him to come and save the life of his slave.”
This Centurion wisely chose the Jewish leaders to ask Jesus on his behalf. Selecting the right people to represent you reveals strategic wisdom.
