This week, as we discuss seeking God first, we can’t overlook the power of prayer. In my new book, Unconventional Business, I shared that my daughter, Megan, once interviewed for a position in a major hospital chain.
Megan was surprised when the director of human resources asked her if she would be offended if she was in meetings that were opened in prayer. My daughter smiled and said “No, not at all.”
This human resources director said, “Good, because we believe in the power of prayer around here.”
James 5:16 teaches, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”
Prayer is powerful and appropriate for workplaces who truly desire to seek God first.
