Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Doug, a retired business owner, shared with me recently that he had just returned from a week-long fly-fishing trip to Montana with ten younger men. Doug is in his 70s, but most of the group were in their 40s.
Doug shared, “I don’t like fishing. I only caught 5 fish all week, but I’ve mentored many of these men for years. It’s worth it to see them enjoy the outdoors while we also study the Bible.”
Doug is sacrificing his time to help others learn and practice God’s ways.
Matthew 5:19 says, “Whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Doug’s sacrifice may lead him to greatness in the kingdom. Better yet, he may just drag a few younger men along with him.
