Kathy and I have a neighbor who lives alone, works at home and refuses to speak to anyone. When asked a question, he will walk away rather than speak.
There are likely challenges in his past that have driven him into isolation. We all have a right to privacy. But isolation comes with consequences.
Imagine not having any input from others. Your life can become very self-absorbed and wisdom from the outside, nonexistent.
Proverbs 18:1 teaches, “Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.”
In business, privacy should be respected. But if you have a teammate who has drifted into total isolation, it can be harmful to them and ultimately to your business. Pray for them and try to encourage them to engage life.
