At one of my past accounting jobs, we had an administrative assistant that seemed to have a cloud that followed her everywhere. Her cars constantly broke down. She had multiple traffic tickets, and she had all kinds of problems in her relationships.
Sometimes I would wonder, “How can one person have so many bad things happen to them?” As I observed this young lady, I began to see a trend.
She made very bad choices. She was living with an abusive guy who was involved with drugs, and she often got swept-up in being part of his drama.
Proverbs 13:21 teaches, “Disaster pursues sinners, but the righteous are rewarded with good.”
When we make bad choices, trouble will follow. If you desire a better life, begin making better choices.
