Twenty-five years ago, I left banking to begin a vocational ministry to business leaders. My first step was to spend a day in reflection and repentance before I began this reset of my career.

My next step, however, was to pray and listen for God’s plan. My new adventure required divine insight which I knew would only come if I was quiet and listened closely to God.

Praying, studying God’s Word, and journaling became my lifeline.

Psalm 37 says, “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.”

If you are amid a reset in your career, delight yourself in the Lord, listen to Him, and He will guide you.
