When I ran cross country, we competed against the top three runners in the state. These guys shattered state records with smiles on their face, while I struggled to make it to the finish line in double their times.
One of the lessons I learned from those days is the power of perseverance. If we adjust our mental attitude and persevere, our bodies can withstand more than we think.
We hopefully are nearing an end to the pandemic, but many of us are exhausted and don’t know if we can continue. But you can!
James 1:4 teaches, “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
