In this series, we’re identifying lessons from Jesus on passing the baton to future leaders. After Jesus selected a core team of twelve, He invested even more intimate time with three of them.
Jesus selected Peter, James, and John for enhanced learning and to be exposed to more miracles than the others. Jesus prepared these three men for greater responsibilities.
Jesus only allowed three disciples to witness Him raising a child from the dead. In Mark 5:37, we read, “He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.”
As you look towards the future in your organization, you need to invest time in a team of people. But there should be a smaller group who gain even deeper experience and direction from you.
