Four close friends launched a business. After years of losses and questions about the future direction of the company, Tammy, one of the partners, called me for advice.
We discussed the challenges the four friends faced. Tammy’s involvement and concern for the business was beginning to jeopardize her cherished friendships.
As much as Tammy enjoyed working with her friends, she realized a change was needed. She didn’t want money to ruin her friendships, so she left the business.
Jesus taught in Luke 16:9, “I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.”
Don’t let money get between you and a friend. It’s wiser to walk away from the money, than to ruin a relationship.
