Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
In a devotion from several years ago, Dr. Richard Bouch contemplated the conversion of Saul to Paul. Saul, as a Pharisee, was educated and energetic in persecuting the followers of Jesus. He needed a supernatural encounter with Jesus to recognize that his perspective was wrong.
Bouch notes that before this conversion, Paul was convinced he was working for God. He based his actions on his education and experience, not his relationship with God.
Proverbs 16:2 tells us, “All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.”
The stakes are high when we seek to act as Christ in the workplace. We must regularly ground ourselves in prayer and scripture study to truly know God’s will as we represent Jesus at work.
