A new report called “Meaning and Purpose at Work” was highlighted in a recent Harvard Business Review article. The authors of this report had three recommendations for employers to make work more meaningful for employees.
The second recommendation was to “make every worker a knowledge worker.”
If we provide staff the opportunity to add creativity to their role and to share their knowledge, this will help employees know that their work has meaning.
In Genesis 2:19 we read, “Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky and brought them to the man to see what he would call them.”
God involved Adam’s knowledge. Try making every worker a knowledge worker by encouraging and allowing them to share their insights.
