Thirty-nine states have now legalized marijuana in some form. This has increased the business community’s risk.
In these states, employees can now legally smoke a joint on break.
The difference from cigarettes is that marijuana alters people’s judgment and behavior. This can put employers at risk, especially if your employees are high when driving a company vehicle, or even making financial decisions.
More studies, like a recent one in the journal, Radiology, are now discovering that smoking marijuana is even worse for your health than cigarettes! This will eventually impact health insurance rates as well.
Proverbs 19:29 teaches, “Penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.”
If you haven’t yet updated your employee policies, you may need to address the use of marijuana on the job.
