When studying King Jehoshaphat, you’ll notice that he was a good king, but he also had areas in his life which he compartmentalized.
King Jehoshaphat consistently took his battles to the Lord. Once, Jehoshaphat was confronted by three nations. Because he took the problem to God, God delivered Jehoshaphat from all three nations without him having to do anything.
Yet, when it came to Jehoshaphat’s business ventures, he sometimes partnered with wicked kings without consulting God, costing Jehoshaphat dearly.
In 2 Chronicles 20:37, a prophet told Jehoshaphat, “‘Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the Lord will destroy what you have made.’ The ships were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.”
God can bless your life and your business. Take them both to the Lord.
