Nehemiah, with God’s help, remarkably rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls in only 52 days. For most people it would be a time to celebrate.
Instead, Nehemiah had a dream of rebuilding the whole city, not just the walls. But it was going to take the help of the people, money, and resources.
Nehemiah realized he needed to involve everyone.
Nehemiah 7:5 says, “So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials and the common people for registration by families.”
Nehemiah counted everyone. This resulted in the people feeling part of God’s movement, leading them to provide the resources, money, and labor needed to rebuild the city.
When leading a project, look for ways to make sure everyone is seen and given the opportunity to be involved.
