Matt was recently hired to teach a series of seminars for irrigation contractors in his field. His excitement to share his knowledge with others was quickly replaced with fear when he realized his reputation would be on the line.
“What if I don’t know an answer to a particular question?” Matt asked himself.
A mentor of Matt’s suggested a simple approach: respond with, “I don’t know.” He reminded Matt that often time’s people relate and connect with others who demonstrate humility and vulnerability, rather than someone who is an “expert.”
I Peter 5:5 reminds us, “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility towards one another, because, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Approach all situations today with a humble spirit, allowing God to lift you up with His grace.
