A recent UK study labeled, Making Faith Work: Job Satisfaction in the UK, discovered that 77 per cent of the survey respondents who identified as religious were satisfied with their job, compared with just 50 per cent of the atheists.
People of faith typically have hope. They have hope in an afterlife. They also have hope that there is a greater purpose involved in our workplaces and lives.
Atheists, however, believe that death is final and there is no hope for anything eternal. There is no greater purpose or cause for them to get excited about.
In Nehemiah 8:10, Nehemiah said, “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
When you struggle with satisfaction in your work, remember your hope and the joy of the Lord.
