Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Jim is one of Matt’s best friends. He tells Matt the things he needs to hear, which is often times the things Matt does not want to hear.
Jim offers an honest perspective of what Matt needs to change or come to grips with. Often times, Jim’s truthfulness is affirmation to what Matt’s heart is already telling him. Jim is a friend of Truth.
As Christ followers, we need to empower each other lovingly with truth and honesty. Proverbs 27:5-6 says, “Better is open rebuke than love that is concealed. Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy.”
Today, gravitate towards others who will lovingly be open and honest with you, telling you what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear.
