Last month, Chase Bank experienced a glitch in their computer system. When people made a deposit at one of their ATMs, some customers learned they could withdraw the entire amount in cash immediately, instead of the typical limited amount.
Unfortunately, for Chase, Tik Tok influencers discovered this opportunity for quick cash and publicized it online. The result was thousands of customers taking advantage of Chase’s technical problem, costing Chase significant financial losses.
Each of these customers, whether they understood it or not, committed bank fraud. Chase intends on prosecuting these greedy customers.
Proverbs 15:27 says, “The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.”
Greed drives people to make foolish decisions when pursuing quick cash, but in the end foolish decisions bring ruin.
