While attending one of Tim’s seminars, Matt’s perception of Tim changed. Offensive language used during his presentation tarnished Tim’s credibility and character that Matt had admired for years. Today, Matt has less respect for Tim as a leader.
Tim would have impressed Matt more if he would of followed the Apostle Paul’s advice found in Ephesians 4:29: “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs. “
Today, avoid the “trash talk” and choose words and stories that encourage, motivate, and helps to build others up. It might increase your impact!
