One of the foundational tools in Lean Manufacturing is the 5S system. Each of the 5S’s represents a step towards the most efficient utilization of space.
The fourth of the 5S’s is STANDARDIZE. This step’s job is to ensure that the process is repeatable and reproducible.
The STANDARDIZE step allows for others to easily step into the role and fulfill it. We can learn a lot about how to STANDARDIZE successfully from the practical nature of the Gospel message.
2 Timothy 3:16 teaches, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”
God’s Word is our operating manual of sorts that provides standards for His followers. The simplicity of His standards encourages adherence.
How could efficiency improve if your STANDARDS were simplified & defined?
