Deciding whether to close a business is a heart wrenching decision. For followers of Jesus, the key consideration should be God’s will.
Travis was leading a business during a significant industry decline. When closing the business seemed the only viable option, Travis surprisingly offered to buy the company personally.
Although his decision seemed crazy, God continually affirmed Travis’ decision. Travis’ wife not only agreed, she joined the company and an investor invested the money!
In Isaiah 55:9, God said, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
There are times when the only reasonable option is to close a business. But if God makes it clear that He wants you to continue, reason becomes irrelevant.
