Gloria and I began working on a project together that typically would require some research and planning before cementing details. I tend to be a Ready – Aim -Aim -Fire kind of person, cautiously gathering facts and analyzing data before making a decision.
But Gloria’s style is Ready – Fire -Aim. The project took off like a rocket. Although Gloria’s pace can be uncomfortable for me, I’ve learned that working with others who move faster helps me to pick up my pace, while I often help them to become more thoughtful.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 teaches, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.”
Don’t be afraid to surround yourself with people different from you. It can help both parties to mature and grow in fruitfulness.
