In this series, we’re discussing fearing God at work

The Strong’s Concordance tells us that the word “fear,” when used in the Old and New Testament, typically means, “morally reverent.” The dictionary defines reverent as “showing deep and solemn respect.”

When I was a young banker, my boss was one of the most powerful men in our community. There were times when he told me to do things that I disagreed with, but out of deep respect for him, I always complied.

Deuteronomy 6:24 says, “The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive.”

In your workplace, view God as your powerful boss worthy of your respect. Obedience should be your constant response.
