Faith and Action
Years ago, I launched a consulting practice and determined to build it without debt. I believed that God could provide all the necessary business funds if I trusted Him.
Eventually, we experienced a lean season. During a weak moment, I established a home equity line of credit “just in case.” That line of credit became a huge temptation to forget my original commitment.
As I wrestled with this temptation, God wanted me to decide, whether I was going to trust Him, or not. Boldly, in faith, I cancelled the line of credit. Miraculously, God provided.
James 2:17 teaches, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
If you’ve made a commitment to God, it will likely be tested. Faith requires taking action to honor that commitment.
