Mike and Cindy arrived with just a few minutes to go before the movie was to start, but there was no one at the ticket booth. When the kiosk didn’t work either, they decided to go to the movie and deal with it after the show.
After the show, Mike told a young man at the concession stand what had happened and that he wanted to pay for his tickets. With amazement, the young man said “You already saw the movie, but you still want to pay for the movie? Well, that’s a first.”
Mike understands the truth of Psalms 106:3, “Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right.”
It’s unfortunate that our culture has become one that Mike’s ethical actions would seem so unique.
